COURSE INFORMATION
The 10K course is a flat loop around Fiesta Island.
START LINE
The start line is at Tecolote Shores Park: 1344 East Mission Bay Drive. 92109
All races finish at Tecolote Shores Park (same location as the start) 1344 East Mission Bay Drive. 92109
COURSE SUPPORT
Water will be served at mile 2 and 4.
Course monitors will be located on the routes.
RESTROOMS
Porto-Johns will be located along the course on Fiesta Island.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
There will be a medical tent staffed with trained emergency personnel at the start line, at the finish line and in the expo area of the event. Ambulances will be located at the start line and at the finish line.
If there is a medical need on the course, please let one of the course monitors or a volunteer at one of the aid stations know as soon as possible and they will call for medical assistance. Each participant is responsible for his or her own health insurance.
COURSE SAFETY RULES
If you wear earphones, wear ones that allow you to hear your surroundings.
No dogs, skates, bikes, scooters, etc. on the courses.
Baby joggers and walkers, please line up at the back of the start corrals.
BIB PICK UP
BIB & SHIRT PICKUP
Bib Pick Up will be available on April 12 from 4 – 7 p.m. and April 13 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Location will be announced soon.
If you are unable to attend a packet pick up in person, you may purchase Will Call pickup for a $15 fee. If you’re picking up a bib for a friend, you will need a copy of their ID.
AWARDS & MEDALS
FINISHER MEDALS
All finishers who complete the race will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
WINNER AWARDS
The top 3 overall male and female half marathon finishers will receive a winner award.
AGE CATEGORY AWARDS
Be sure to check the Results Tent in the Finish Festival. Age Category awards are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, male/female, in the categories listed below. Please collect your award at the Awards tent on race day.
12 & under, 13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+
How many years have you participated in the San Diego Beach & Bay Half Marathon, 5K for 10K? If you have joined us for three years or more consecutively, congratulations — you are a member of our Legacy Club!
Qualified legacy members will continue to earn awesome perks, rewards, and receive special recognition for every year their personal stride is kept in motion! #Beach&BayLegacy
MEMBERSHIP
Super easy, there is no separate registration or sign up required. We keep track of the years you have registered for the San Diego Beach & Bay races. Participants who qualify will have automatic membership upon completion of their third consecutive event and beyond!
ELIGIBILITY
Anyone can become a member of the Beach & Bay Legacy Club! Just continue to join us each year and enjoy the perks as you move up the Legacy Ladder.
RULES
Legacy gifts will be available for pick up at the Legacy tent after the race on Sunday, April 23, 2023.
All distances past and present DO apply towards the Beach & Bay Legacy Club! As long as you have run in ANY DISTANCE race at San Diego Beach & Bay for at least three consecutive years, you qualify for legacy status.
Virtual Legacy Runner: If you are unable to be at the race and don’t want to lose your legacy status, you can join us virtually. Simply register as usual, and select the “Virtual Race” option during the registration process.
