Race Guards

We are happy to have the Race Guards back at the SDBBHM this year. Race Guards are endurance athletes who are trained in First Aid for runners. Race Guards wear jerseys branded with the Race Guards logo and “MEDICAL” clearly displayed on their jerseys. They will be running alongside you and are there for you if you need any assistance.

Pace Groups

The Road Runner Sports Pace Team will be leading the following groups for the Half Marathon. Simply look for the pacers holding their pace stick with goal time at the start line and join them on the run! The Road Runner Sports Pace Team paces several San Diego area half marathons with a goal of helping runners reach their goal times and having fun doing it. Pace Groups are 1:30, 1:40, 1:50, 2:00, 2:15, 2:30, 2:45 and 3:00.

Timing and Race Results

Official results and age group awards will be based on your chip time (net time on the course). All runners must attach the timing device as instructed or they will not be timed and ineligible for any award. Results will be posted in the finish line area and also after the race on our event website.

You can pick up your bib number and shirt at the Expo on April 17 or on race morning. You must show your photo ID and present a signed waiver to claim your bib number.
