The San Diego Beach & Bay Half Marathon is an award-winning loop course that highlights the very best of San Diego’s breathtaking coastline. From sunlit beaches to picturesque bays, runners experience a rare opportunity to run past SeaWorld, Belmont Park, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and Sail Bay — all in one unforgettable 13.1-mile race.
With only 165 feet of total elevation gain, this is one of California’s flattest and fastest half marathons — perfect for chasing a personal record or enjoying the ultimate racecation in Southern California.

This course is certified by USA Track & Field.

START LINE
The start line is at Tecolote Shores Park: 1344 East Mission Bay Drive. 92109
START TIMES
Half Marathon: 6:30 a.m.
10K: 7:15 am.
5K: 7:30 a.m.
Gear Check is available near the start line.
FINISH LINE
All races finish at Tecolote Shores Park South (same location as the start)

Course monitors will be located on the routes.
Pacers will be also be available on course during the race, courtesy of OnPace, for the following time goals:
1:30, 1:35, 1:40, 1:45, 1:50, 1:55, 2:00, 2:05, 2:10, 2:20, 2:30, 2:40, 2:50, 3:00
RESTROOMS
Restrooms will be located at mile 2, 3.5, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11.
MEDICAL SUPPORT
There will be a medical tent staffed with trained emergency personnel at the start line, at the finish line and in the expo area of the event. There will also be medical staffing at various locations along the course. Ambulances will be located at the start line, on the course, at the finish line and in the expo area.
There will be mobile medics called Race Guards roaming the course throughout the race. If there is a medical need on the course, please let one of the course monitors or a volunteer at one of the aid stations know as soon as possible and they will call for medical assistance. Each participant is responsible for his or her own health insurance.
COURSE SAFETY RULES
If you wear earphones, wear ones that allow you to hear your surroundings.
No dogs, strollers, skates, bikes, scooters, etc. on the courses.
AWARDS & MEDALS
FINISHER MEDALS
All finishers who complete the race will receive a finisher medal at the finish line.
WINNER AWARDS
The top 3 overall male and female half marathon finishers will receive a winner award.
AGE CATEGORY AWARDS
Be sure to check the Results Tent in the Finish Festival. Age Category awards are 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, male/female, in the categories listed below. Please collect your award at the Awards tent on race day.
